TL (what most people call her) has been in market research for over 35 years as either an end user or global full service provider with a heavy focus on fieldwork quality control and standard establishment. Armed with the gold standards learned while at Procter & Gamble and ACNielsen BASES, a majority of her career has been to research and understand the true field work capabilities and practices of fieldwork suppliers around the world. "My career has been a constant evolution of understanding market research, particularly fieldwork."
After meeting with virtually hundreds of research providers in over 46 countries, Terilyn has developed a unique skill set that allows her to effectively gauge the true abilities of field work providers. Over the course of these meetings she's amassed the crème de la crème of researchers through out the world that meet the exacting standards astute clients expect from their researchers. "The appreciation I've always had for the rank and file in any market research project grew a thousand fold when I went into the offices of international providers, and then out onto the streets with the local supervisors and interviewers. It takes a special kind of person to provide quality data when they have to work in an office that loses power every day between 4pm and 6pm because the infrastructure can't support the need, or hike up 5, 6 or 7 flights of stairs every day to accurately random recruit respondents in an apartment building, or travel with armed security guards when interviewing needs to be done in a dangerous part of town."
International research is her first love, but a very close second is what she calls "brain draining." Her experiences are willingly provided to “new to international research” clients. She takes great joy in taking people through the intricacies and differences of global research. "I love witnessing the many Ah-Ha moments that clients go through as they get into international research. I can't prove it, but I think international has had the same effect on others as it did me: it rejuvenated my interest in the industry and has kept me in it another 18 years past my domestic research days. Oh, and I really need to thank my international colleagues and friends for their patience with me in those early days.
Terilyn served as a Board member for an MRA Chapter for over 10 years was Chair of the MRAs Respondent Cooperation Committee and currently serves on the P&G Alumni Network Chapter Board and speaks regularly to Clients, associations and university students on the topic of, "International Research-Different is not Wrong," and "International Travel-Don't be The Ugly American."

From OPOC President, Terilyn Reber
This company is a direct result of experienced gained in my 35+ years in market research; the bulk of it focused on field work quality and controls. In a nutshell, One Planet One Call is global research, simplified. One Planet One Call provides what I think all Clients ultimately desire and deserve; convenience, consistency and excellence in global data collection. One Planet takes the guess work out of the search for high quality geographically dispersed and culturally diverse suppliers in or very near to the data collection process. We further enhanced the process by providing sought after consistencies across all our locations. And finally, we wrapped up the multi country coordination process into a convenient one contact setting for our time stretched Clients. This bundle greatly lessens the amount of labor required to conduct global research for our Clients, making them more efficient as well as happier Clients. Let me modify what I said before...OPOC is GREAT Global research, simplified.
